Why infant monitoring needs more than a video baby monitor
We've talked to enough NICU nurses and sleep‑deprived parents to know the problem: a video monitor only tells you after something happened. By the time an infant's oxygen saturation drops or fever spikes, critical minutes have already passed. Passive monitoring is not enough – you need continuous, real‑time vital signs.
The B601 is not a repurposed fitness tracker. It uses the same Goodix GH3011 optical sensor found in high‑end smartphones, clinically validated for HRV, SpO2, blood pressure (HR‑derived), and body temperature (±0.2°C). And it's been engineered for infants: no sharp edges, IP67 waterproof (drool, bath, accidental submersion), and a 7.5g ultra‑light body.

How it works with the BG601 gateway (optional)
The B601 broadcasts BLE data every few seconds. A companion BG601 gateway (sold separately) picks up the signal and forwards it to the cloud via Wi‑Fi or 4G. Parents or nurses receive real‑time vital signs and alerts on their phones. The gateway also measures ambient temperature and sound – adding another layer of infant safety.
Real‑world deployment
Extended use: B601 + W200PG smartwatch
The B601 can also broadcast vital signs to a W200PG smartwatch (sold separately) worn by a parent or caregiver. The watch receives BLE5.1 signals from the infant's band, displays real‑time heart rate and temperature, and triggers audible/vibration alerts if thresholds are crossed – all without a gateway or cloud connection. This creates a closed‑loop monitoring system for short‑range use (e.g., in the same room). The W200PG also includes its own GPS and 4G for location tracking, adding an extra safety layer when the caregiver steps out.
What the B601 is NOT (honest limitations)
Not a medical device – The B601 provides trend data and alerts. It is not a certified diagnostic tool. Always consult a physician for medical decisions.
Blood pressure is estimated from HR – It is not a cuff measurement. Use for long‑term trend spotting, not clinical diagnosis.
Requires BLE gateway for remote monitoring – The band itself only broadcasts locally. To receive alerts when away from home, you need our BG601 gateway or a compatible BLE receiver.
Operating temperature 20°C–40°C – Not for extreme environments.
No GPS or cellular – This is a pure BLE health tracker. For location tracking, pair with a separate device or use the gateway's BLE AoA feature.
